The sparkling Eribé Alpine Sweater Blue Morning tells a story of light slowly spreading across the landscape. The deep blue forms a calm base, like water reflecting the first rays of the sun. It is not a fleeting shade, but a colour with depth and character.

The Alpine Fair Isle pattern around the neckline brings movement to the design. Stripes of warm red, soft cream and various shades of blue build up like layers in the sky at sunrise. The pattern returns at the hem and cuffs, visually carrying and completing the whole.

The longer sweater length gives this model a slightly more elegant appearance than the shorter variant. The silhouette falls softly and offers comfort without losing its shape. Ideal for those who appreciate knitwear that is both expressive and wearable.

Crafted from 96% merino wool and 4% angora wool, this sweater feels luxuriously soft and lightly insulating. Merino wool ensures natural temperature regulation, while angora wool adds subtle softness and a velvety nuance.

Blue Morning here stands not only for freshness, but for depth and continuity. A sweater that radiates confidence, provides warmth and combines effortlessly – a lasting knitwear piece with a strong, calm presence.

* The angora wool comes from angora rabbits that are combed by hand. This painless method prevents the coat from matting and keeps the rabbit healthy.

The story behind the Eribé Alpine Sweater
In the misty hills of the Scottish Borders, where sheep wander freely across the fields and the morning light softens to a gentle pink over the valleys, there is a small studio that has thrived on colour, wool, and tradition for nearly forty years. There, surrounded by sketchbooks and yarn shades inspired by the Scottish landscape, works Rosemary Eribé – the woman who introduced the world to the iconic Alpine Sweater.

Rosemary began as a young designer with one simple goal: to let the centuries-old Fair Isle knitting tradition shine again. Not as a museum piece, but as a modern, wearable work of art that would warm people across the globe. She wanted fresh colours, new combinations, playfulness – something that reflects the joyful spirit of Scotland.

On a cold winter’s day, inspired by the sunset over the Isle of Skye, she sketched the first ideas for what would become the Alpine Sweater. She drew lines, created tiny motifs, and placed colours side by side as if painting with wool. The Alpine had to be different: lighter, softer, more refined – and infused with that unmistakable Eribé cheerfulness.

The result was a sweater that feels like a warm hug from Scotland. With Fair Isle patterns dancing across the shoulders and sleeves, a playful colour palette found nowhere else, and a fit that flatters absolutely everyone.
